LLS Man of the Year Candidate

Dear friends,

I just wanted to drop a quick note to let you all know that I just accepted a nomination to run for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man of the Year. (Follow that link for more details on the campaign.) I was reluctant at first to take on another initiative but once I spent a minute to really think about the honor and what it stands for, it was a slam-dunk decision. What this really means is that I will embark on a fundraising campaign in early April that will run through the end of June and will try to raise as much money as possible to aid in the battle against blood cancers.

You all know that I have a very personal connection to this cause, so accepting the nomination was in the stars.  Although I know this is a worthy cause, and I am looking forward to doing my best to make a valuable contribution, I won’t be able to do it without the help of good people. In the coming months I will be reaching out to people with the hope that folks will be able to spread the word and assist in any way possible.

More info will follow but for now just keep it in the back of your mind and start thinking of some possible ways we can partner. I will also brainstorm some creative ways to attack this bear!!

Thanks for everyone’s continued support and for this humbling honor…..stay tuned!
