2010 Philadelphia Marathon Weekend Events

The City of Philadelphia is gearing up to welcome more than 20,000 runners and more than 40,000 spectators for an even better schedule of events, which includes the Philadelphia Marathon, the Half Marathon, Rothman Institute 8K, Health & Fitness Expo, Kids Fun Run, Runners’ Pasta Party and more than 20 spectator Cheer Zones to catch all of the competition this November.

Soul Food for Lunch

I am fortunate in that I am able to run during my mid day lunch break at work. This is something that I have been doing for probably 20 years if not more. It’s something that helps stabilize me and keeps me somewhat sane. It also really helps work productivity because it is a great way to not only blow off some stress, but also problem solve in a free form and endorphin induced state. When my run schedule gets interrupted, I become a little agitated and a lot anxious and uptight. It’s pretty easy to tell when I have been able to run – and when I haven’t.

USA Triathlon Mid-Atlantic Region Expo

The Multisport World Conference and Expo comes to the Mid Atlantic on March 27, 2010. Produced by Sun Multisport Events in partnership with the USAT Mid-Atlantic region, Multisport World will draw 1,000+ attendees and offer seminars, clinics, competitive events and a vendor expo.

The Philadelphia Marathon & TNT Talk

I was asked to be the inspirational speaker at the 2009 TEAM IN TRAINING pasta dinner prior to this weekend’s Philadelphia Marathon. It was a great evening. I really do love to address those groups and do so any time that I am asked. I always meet some amazing people and walk away feeling like I totally understand what I am supposed to do on this earth

Philadelphia Marathon Schedule and Information

More than 40,000 people are expected to attend the two-day Expo, which is free and open to the public, to enjoy exhibits, events and seminars. It is the official location to pick up the race packet, but offers much more, including the Verizon Kid Zone, a Fan Pass that offers discounts at local retailers, and expert advice from leaders in the field.

2009 ING NYC Marathon Recap

The 2009 ING New York City Marathon was truly an amazing experience. I raced NYC this year as part of Ethan Zohn’s charitable organization Grassroot Soccer (GRS) which raises funds for AIDS and HIV education and awareness. Our team raised a combined $150,000 for the cause.
