The Legacy of Lake Lenape

July 10th 2010 marked the 20th anniversary of the Lake Lenape sprint distance triathlon. This little jewel of a triathlon is nestled away in the quiet and scenic neighborhood of Mays Landing New Jersey and truly has become a community staple.

A Fallen Brother

The sport of triathlon always gets my writing juices flowing. For different reasons, so does the topic of death and losing a loved one. So I can’t quite understand why when those two subjects combine as one that I am practically at a loss for words. Perhaps it’s not that I am at a loss for words, maybe I just can’t seem to organize any of the words that are colliding in my head into an intelligent thought.

Congrats Philly Tri Participants, Volunteers, and Staff

It was a rough weekend at this year's Philadelphia Insurance Triathlon. Congratulations to all athletes, regardless of the outcome of your day. You were faced with your share of challenges this weekend. Great job just enduring and adapting. Some of you may not have had the perfect race. But none of you raced in perfect conditions so pat yourselves on the back.

Ironman Texas Added to Ironman Series

June 24, 2010 (Tampa, Fla.) - Today, World Triathlon Corporation announces the addition of Memorial Hermann Ironman Texas to its worldwide Ironman Series. Taking place in The Woodlands, located just north of downtown Houston, the event is scheduled for May 21, 2011. The inaugural race will enhance the current Ironman calendar, which consists of 25 events around the world in locations such as Australia, China, Brazil and Germany.

Sixth Annual Philadelphia Insurance Triathlon Returns

More than 4,000 athletes including some of the top professionals in the world are set to compete at the 2010 Philadelphia Insurance Triathlon (PHLYTRI) this weekend, June 25-27. One of the top ranked multi-sport events in the country, the event hosts three days of competition and activities.
