WTC Announces IRONMAN Maryland

World Triathlon Corporation (WTC) is announcing Ironman Maryland, a phoenix raised from the ashes of what was Chesapeakeman, to take place on September 20, 2014. The WTC has acted quickly to turn an imminent disaster into a windfall for its own brand and for triathletes living in the metro-Baltimore and greater Mid-Atlantic area.

WTC Announces Qualification and Prize Distribution Details for 5150 U.S. Championship

Nov. 18, 2010 (Tampa, Fla.) – Today, 5150 U.S Championship qualification and prize distribution details are available at www.5150.com. The Hy-Vee Triathlon will serve as the 5150 U.S. Championship and is scheduled for Sept. 4, 2011, in Des Moines, Iowa. World Triathlon Corporation (WTC) is producing the new 5150 Triathlon Series; Bill Burke will serve as the managing director of the global series with Philip LaHaye in the role of director of operations for U.S.-based events. Registration for all 5150 events will open on Wednesday, Dec. 1.

Give Triathlon Back to the Triathletes

I need to vent a little bit on this new program initiated by the World Triathlon Corporation – Ironman Access. And I really hope that after I do vent, I will feel better because I really do love this sport and hate to see it tarnished. For the last few years I have been growing increasingly disgruntled at the rising cost and market saturation of the “M-Dot” product produced by the WTC but this time they have taken the greed machine way too far.

WTC Introduces New Athlete Membership Program

Oct. 27, 2010 (Tampa, Fla.) – Today, World Triathlon Corporation (WTC) launches an exclusive athlete membership program called Ironman Access. In addition to other member benefits, the program will offer advance registration for Ironman events worldwide before entries open to the general public. Membership into Ironman Access is on a first-come, first-served basis and will close once it reaches capacity.

World Triathlon Corporation Announces LAVA Magazine Launch

World Triathlon Corporation (WTC), owners of the portfolio that includes Ironman, 70.3, Iron Girl and IronKids brands, announces its partnership with John Duke for the launch of a new magazine. With plans to appear in late summer, the magazine will feature content for the serious and committed triathlete. Initial subscribers will be participants of domestic events within the 2010 Ironman and 70.3 Series. Digital subscriptions are planned for international participants.
